Description:
Terra Cristallum was our first project at The Game Assembly.
Since it began just a few weeks after we first started school, this project was coded in LUA instead of C++. It was definitely a trial. Not so much because the code was especially difficult to understand, but because everything was just new and overwhelming. Working this closely as a team was also something I hadn’t experienced before, and it came with it’s own set of challenges.
However, it also came with a few perks.
It was probably my first experience of working with a group of people where everyone was truly passionate about the project we were working on. It was great.
Looking back I can also say that this is probably where my interest in graphical programming first took root, as I took a particular interest in animations and graphical feedback.
My main contributions:
Animations
General feedback and gameplay.
